Church History
The Clover Presbyterian Church was established in 1881 by Bethel Presbytery to serve the spiritual needs of the Clover community as the town was growing from a railroad water stop into a piedmont textile community. Throughout its history the church has been marked by a deep commitment to Christian mission. We have a long tradition of supporting mission projects and those serving the church on the foreign mission field. At home, the church has always sought to maintain a joyful and exuberant worship life and strong ministries of education and nurture. These are the hallmarks of the Reformed Tradition and they certainly describe the heritage of this congregation.
Our sanctuary, built on the famous Akron Plan architectural style, gathers the congregation around the table, pulpit and font in an arc, drawing the church family together for worship and praise. Over that gathered fellowship our 18 rank Moeller pipe organ lifts our hearts and voices in hymn, praise and spiritual song. We are blessed with talented musicians that serve our weekly worship services at 10:00.
